WELCOME PROSPECTIVE PARTNERS
Thank you for your interest in the My Community NM Resources Inventory (MyCommunityNM.org) and exploring the possibility of becoming a project partner. Partners play a very important role in helping to sustain our online system locally and statewide.
FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions)
- What's the difference between a participating agency and a partner?
-
- A participating agency inputs its own agency information into My Community NM and updates it as needed.
- A partner either coordinates or is in charge of inputting and updating resources for more than one agency in a particular market segment.
- A partner that coordinates agencies in its market segment:
- Determines which agencies should be inputted into My Community NM and asks them to participate
- Teaches interested agencies how to input their information in My Community NM
- Maintains contact with all agencies
- Reminds agencies to update their information online as needed
- Acts as a point of contact for My Community NM project organizers
- A partner that is in charge of agencies in its market segment would also maintain contact with the agencies in its market segment but then would input and update the information into My Community NM itself.
- All partners have access to our administrative site in order to view and edit their listings.
- Partners may also request to customize or add additional components to MyCommunityNM.org that are beneficial to their market segment and/or all system users. Scroll down to read more about customizing.
- What are the benefits of being a partner?
-
- You don't have to create and maintain your own online bilingual system and print manuals. This saves you money, time, and human resources.
- You have control and autonomy over your data. With administrative access, you can manage your own resources by downloading your information as needed, which allows you to sort data and generate reports, save copies, and print directories.
- Opportunity to customize orenhance MY COMMUNITY NM to meet your needs. Do you want our website to do something specific for your market segment or for all MY COMMUNITY NM users? Do you want customized access from your website? (see Customize Your Part of MY COMMUNITY NM).
- Translation of your data into Spanish.
- Sharing resources as a collective brings traffic to one location vs. multiple locations, allowing all partners and MY COMMUNITY NM users to benefit.
- Being part of a statewide collaborative increases your organization´s visibility and may lead to potential funding opportunities.
- You can feel confident that the agencies your target population needs to know about are included and up-to-date.
- Help make decisions regarding MY COMMUNITY NM.
- What are partner responsibilities?
-
- Annual partner contribution based on your organization's budget (see Annual Partner Contribution) which supports the system programming, maintenance, updating, translation, promotion, and administration. This is a small amount compared to what you would pay to develop, design, collect and input data, and maintain your own database. If your organization cannot afford this annual contribution, please speak with us about scholarship and sponsorship opportunities.
- Take responsibility for overseeing that your “market segment(s)” of agencies is updated in the inventory every six months. On average it takes only 10 minutes per agency to update its information.
- Assist with marketing and fundraising.
- Participate in quarterly MY COMMUNITY NM partnership governance meetings (teleconference available).
- What are some examples of what partners do?
-
- Sandoval County Community Health Alliance is in charge of inputting and updating Sandoval County listings and dental providers in Sandoval and Bernalillo County.
- Bernalillo County Community Health Council is in charge of inputting and updating behavioral health resources in Bernalillo County.
- NM Coalition to End Homelessness coordinates the data input and updates of homeless shelters, food pantries and other homeless resources in Bernalillo County.
